Podcast Episode 2: Fabric Preparation

Posted on September 25, 2014 by Cristy Fincher | 4 comments

My second podcast episode is posted and ready for you to take a listen!

In this episode, I talk about how I prepare my fabrics for sewing and quilting and how the preparation helps me achieve the results that make me very happy. As you know, I learned a lot about proper fabric preparation from my mom, Sharon Schamber. She has many many videos on her YouTube channel that demonstrate and explain various types of fabric preparation. Plus SO many other wonderful tutorials. Be careful. Watching her videos can be very addictive.

If you have any questions about my podcast, or have suggestions for future episodes, please let me know by posting a comment or sending me an email.

Enjoy and Happy Quilting!!

I have tried to locate the double-sided tape your mother refers to on her videos. She said it was available on the website. I’ve checked both and cannot find it.
Too, I want to purchase the water soluble stabilizer but do not know the name of it.

Yay, another quilting podcaster! I listened to both episodes back to back. Your first one brought tears to my eyes, my kids are the same ages as yours. And I found your second one very interesting. Looking forward to more.

Wonderful, wonderful. I have been sewing for over sixty years and knew almost all of this. But you put it into such a concise, clear way, it makes more sense. I will concentrate on the grain of fabric for my future quilting. Looking forward to future Podcasts.
